Communal Harmony Day Celebration

overlooks difference and a conscious appreciation and forging of unity in diversity.

“Consider the flowers in a garden: Though differing in kind, colour, form and shape, yet this diversity increase their charm, and add value to their beauty.

Therefore, here is an attempt to involve students and have them understand amity between the communities in the country and absence of friction and tension among them is very essential for the progress and development of the country.

During Communal harmony fortnight celebrations Anjuman Degree College & PG Centre has celebrated the Communal harmony day on 2nd Sept 2012.

The programme commenced with the recitation of verses from The Holy Quran by Fahman Lowna and college Principal Dr. K C Nazeer Ahmed extended a warm welcome address to the eminent guest and the gathering followed by floral offerings and a patriotic song by Nadeem Qausain Naithe of Bcom 3rd semester.<

Knowing about someone who is Special is always a great pleasure. Prof. Ravindra Kaikani introduced the guests followed by the views expressed by the students on the significance of communal harmony in our nation.

Eminent chief guest Dr.Madukeshwar – Tahasildar, Bhatkal, Guest of Honour Mr.Sudheer kumar Reddy - An IPS officer, Bhatkal, Guest of honour Janab Moulana Abdul Bari Nadvi Saheb – Principal Jamia Islamia & Imam-wa-khateeb Jamia Masjid, Bhatkal, and Guest of Honour Janab Jukaku Abdulraheem Saheb – General Secretary AHM Bhatkal addressed the gathering and enlightened the gathering about the importance of Communal harmony towards building our nation by taking some unique examples and by considering few facts from our history of the nation.

 Further, the prize distribution for the winners who secured first, second and third place in elocution and essay competitions both in kannada and English language followed as the part of Communal harmony fortnight celebrations.

 Janab Kasimji Mohammed Ansar Saheb- Vice President-I AHM bhatkal delivered presidential remarks followed by memento presentation for the guests. The programme concluded by vote of thanks by Ahmed Damudi, student of Bcom 3rd semester.
